BEAUTY BEHIND THE MADNESS
IGNORANT ART
The best of Garo Hakimian is an artist in full flight. Unconstrained. Free. There's talent - lots of that, but there is more, yet, there's a drive to say in his work, I am an artist, in every sense of the word, and try and stop me. I will be, what I am. This deviance. All art is storytelling - narrative, and his, well, it's being unconstrained. His brain, uncensored. His energy pushing his creativity. And all of that is there to see on the canvas, for he leaves nothing behind, he brings it all.
When he says he paints his brain, it's not thought he's painting, it's the pulse of blood running through the veins of thought. In other words, he paints not what he thinks - or what he can say, but rather, what he is unable to say, in any other way, other than by painting.
When we look at individual pieces, such as: Beauty Behind the Madness, the Angel From Hell series, The Mother of All Worries, we see just that, what he has captioned, but in such an expressive, energetic, and creative manner. His. He makes it all his. And that's what his work is, his own highly, expressive, energetic and creative take on life. His life.

ALL I KNOW
"It is not about becoming something, it is about being something and I have always been an artist. I decided to dedicate myself completely to the craft about eight years ago and have been painting full time ever since. "
